Vulnerable Children Sponsorship ($40 a month)
In Kenya, about 3.6 million children who are below 18 years have been orphaned or are vulnerable. This is noted in a report shared by the Kenya National Library of Medicine.
Growing up in poverty as an orphan or as a vulnerable child, one faces incredibly challenging situations: from hunger and malnutrition to social discrimination, to isolation and to limited access to education and medical services.
Such children, when left on their own, are more likely to be exposed to the stress of violence and drugs. But once given a fair chance in life like other children, they are able to grow up and set their own goals to build their lives.
Sponsoring an orphan or a vulnerable child can create a multiplier effect. Where once armed with the education they can pursue their dreams and eventually be able to contribute to their communities and country.
